How Sermons Work

I haven’t read David Murray’s (Twitter, Blog, Facebook) latest work yet, How Sermons Work.

But I love the promo video. And I’ll be picking up the book soon.

Maybe you can relate to this video…I think it’s hilarious.

You can pick up a copy HERE.

Ha! I can’t help but notice the guy spent his entire day on the computer instead of in the Bible. I’m sure you know this but if you spend enough time in reading and prayer, sermons pop up all over the place.

      So true, Jeremy!

      Great point.

Thanks for sharing that Ben. I was crying. I’ve never had to preach, but as a former church tech guy I had plenty of last minute projects that followed a similar development path.

The Internet is awesome… until it’s too awesome.

Yeah, I think there’s this assumption that preaching is as easy as saying, “Hmm…what am I going to preach about today? Ok, let’s do this!”

Just wait…I’ll ask you to preach one day, Blake. Don’t you worry.

Nice video. Ben, are you going to the RightNow Conference in Dallas next week? I enjoyed your sessions from the Twelve conference in Sept.

Sure am, Ned. See you there!
