Connecting in Communities

Eddie Mosley (on Twitter HERE, Facebook HERE), executive director for group life at LifePoint Church in Smyrna, TN, has just released a book through NavPress entitled Connecting in Communities.

Eddie, a good friend of mine, is a practitioner.  He has successfully led small groups around the country, and is consistently helping churches raise the value and health of small groups. This book is a gem for anyone in the small group world.

I had the chance to Skype with Eddie about his book.  Check out the interview below.

If you’re a small group leader, small group pastor, or are a part of a church that offers small groups, you need to read this book.  Pick up your copy of the book HERE.

Thanks for the interview Ben and for the book Eddie. I’ve intentionally built relationships with my neighbors and could use some guidance on how to take the next step to organize into a small group or other options that can make relationship development more intentional.

Last year I organized a basketball camp for kids on my street. We used parents as the counselors and broke up into 3 age groups. It went really well. I’m looking to do other things like this. Look forward to getting the book!

      Love it, Todd!

What about something as simple as inviting them over for a short period to study the Bible with you? Maybe organize a church-wide campaign around a sermon series you guys are doing, and invite your neighbors to go through the study with you in your home.

Have you done something like that?
