Being missional is God’s charge to the Church.  And being comfortable isn’t part of that plan.

    I think that if we truly grasp what "missional" means, the reality that you point out would shock us. I think this is what Lesslie Newbigin challenged the church to see when he asked how the West can hear the Gospel again when western culture has been co-opted by an culturally acceptable view of Christianity.

      Good point, Scott. I always thought of Constantine's religious tolerance (and stopping of the persecutions) was a good thing for the Church…and I guess it was. But making Christianity culturally acceptable brings its share of difficulties, too. That's seen all to prevalently in America.
